President's Remarks
Rotaract:- President Elect Stephanie Martinez, Milo, and Roshni

This presentation from Steph, Milo & Roshi in tandem showed how they workshopped to create both internal and external priorities.
The outcome was so successful they are now the leading Rotaract Club in Australia with 25 members.
This year they used a similar process to sort out priorities for this coming year:
INT - Fellowship
EXT - Youth Support and Aged Care
They are partnering with us on the Twylight Disco with the first one in June each with its own theme
They engaged us with enthusiasm and vigour - we wish them continued success
------------------------------------------
The fundraising team presented to the club members a summary of the year to date
------------------------------------------
We will be having a joint meeting with The Rotary Club of Templestowe where we will get a report of how thing are progressing with the Doncaster Hill market partnership from both clubs

Yours in Rotary

Loaded with family packs of mattresses. Blankets, mosquito nets and sanitary items.

We delivered food and supplies to 245 families - about 1,500 people in 4 villages in Tibar using 3 trucks and 2 utes.  Tibar is only 20 minutes out of Dili, but on the other side of the Covid quarantine perimeter which meant a border crossing and observing Covid protocol.

This afternoon and evening we delivered supplies to around 100 families in 2 villages (one of which was hit by a mud slide which almost totally covered some of the houses).  We gave them 5 utes full of mattresses, mosquito nets, blankets, eating utensils and food.

We have 6 water trucks arriving in Tibar tomorrow and Dr Andre has arranged to return with the Sabeh medical team

Kirsty Sword Guasmai (former First Lady of Timor Leste) will be guest speaker at a cluster meeting on 23 June. Organised by David Grieve.

She has asked if there is particular focus for her presentation that would be more appropriate for our members.  Is there an appetite for sharing ideas re areas of need in education that our Club might contribute to.  Kirsty is Advisor to the Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, advocate for Days for Girls, Maternal Education and founder of the Alola Foundation.

This is a cluster meeting.   Please extend an invitation to friends and family.

RESPECT

Welfare
While we’re getting on with the business of helping others, let’s take a moment to remember our fellow Members, Partners and Friends of the Club, who may be doing it a little tough.
We’re also thinking of our long-term absent Members whom we don’t see often enough.
I’m sure all of us know an absent or ex Member who would love to have a call from any one of us as Members of the Rotary Club of Doncaster.
If you do know anyone who is unwell, or is going through challenging times, or even if you’re up against it yourself, contact our Welfare Officer, PP Frank Evans on 9337 8493, or email frank.evans1@bigpond.com.
